Italy Sticker Visa – Detailed Information

Traveler Details

1. Passport Requirements
   • Physical Passport: The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure from Italy.
   • Ineligible Passports: Handwritten passports and passports valid for more than 10 years are not accepted.
   • Passport Condition: Passports with any observations on the front data page will not be accepted. The passport must have at least two empty pages to affix the visa.
2. Photograph Requirements
   • Physical Photograph: A passport-sized photograph with a matte finish and a white background is required. The photo dimensions should be 35mm x 45mm.
   • Face Coverage: The face should cover 80% of the photograph; the applicant must appear non-smiling, without glasses or head covering (unless for religious or ethnic reasons).
   • Recency: The photograph must be taken within the last 6 months and must not have been used in previous visa applications.

Travel Details

1. Flight Tickets
   • Provide a copy of confirmed flight tickets for both arrival and departure.
2. Hotel Reservation
   • A copy of the confirmed hotel reservation is required, showing the hotel address, contact number, the applicant’s name, and dates of stay for the entire duration of the visit.
   • If the applicant is traveling to multiple Schengen countries, proof of accommodation in each country is necessary.

Financial Details

1. Bank Statement
   • The applicant needs to provide either their own bank statement or a statement from the sponsor (if sponsored by a blood relative or spouse).
   • The bank statement should cover the last 6 months and must have the bank’s sign and seal.
2. Income Tax Returns (ITR)
   • For business owners (partner, LLP, director), provide ITR for the last 3 years.
   • For salaried employees, a 3-year ITR or Form 16 is required.
   • For self-employed individuals, a 3-year personal ITR is required.

Occupation Details

1. For Employed Individuals
   • Leave Sanction Letter or No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer.
   • Payslips for the last 3 months.
   • Company Appointment Letter if the applicant has recently switched companies.
2. For Self-employed Individuals
   • A cover letter on business letterhead.
   • Business registration certificate (e.g., GST certificate, Certificate of Incorporation, Partnership Deed, MOA, etc.).
   • Proof of proprietorship if applicable.
3. For Students
   • A letter from the educational institution (e.g., bonafide certificate, leave letter, or student ID card copy).
4. For Retired Individuals
   • Retirement Proof or pension slip for the last 3 months.

Additional Requirements

1. Mandatory Biometric Visit
   • Applicants must visit the visa application center in person for biometric data. Biometric visits are not required if the applicant has a Schengen visa issued within the last 3 years.
   • Personal visit is mandatory even if biometrics were done previously.
2. Travel Insurance
   • A mandatory travel insurance policy with a minimum coverage of Euro 30,000 (or USD 50,000) is required. The insurance should cover health emergencies, treatment, hospitalization, or repatriation.
   • The policy must be valid for the entire Schengen stay and include all Schengen countries.
3. Cover Letter
   • The cover letter must include the applicant’s personal details and the purpose of the visit. It should be addressed to the consulate or embassy.
4. Travel Agency Certificate
   • If applying through a travel agency, the agency must provide a signed and stamped certificate or reservation confirmation showing that a deposit has been paid, or a cancellation fee is applicable. ( Please note that additional charges may apply should we be required to arrange this)

Conditional Requirements

1. For Minors Traveling with One Parent
   • Provide written consent from the other parent or guardian, along with a signed copy of their passport or photo ID.
   • If the parent has sole custody of the minor, proof must be provided.
2. For Minors Traveling Alone
   • Obtain written consent from both parents or guardians.
   • Provide signed copies of the parents’ or guardians’ passports or photo IDs.
   • A notarized NOC from the parents is required.
3. Staying with Friends or Family
   • Invitation Letter: The invitation letter should be in Italian and include the inviting person’s name, passport number, purpose, and duration of the trip.
   • Sponsorship Documents: Include proof of the sponsor’s employment, bank statement, and government ID.
4. Internal Travel Within Schengen Area
   • If the applicant is traveling within the Schengen area, proof of internal travel must be submitted.
5. Marriage Certificate
   • If the spouse’s name is not mentioned on the back of the passport, a marriage certificate is required.

• The embassy or consulate may request additional documents or a personal interview on a case-by-case basis.
• Applications submitted within 15 working days of the intended travel date will not be accepted.
