Denmark Sticker Visa Application Requirements

Traveller Details

Passport

• Requires physical passport submission.
• Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the departure date from Denmark.
• Handwritten passports and passports valid for more than 10 years are not accepted.

Photograph

• Requires physical submission.
• Photo dimensions: 35mm x 45mm on matte finish paper with a white background.
• Face should cover 80% of the photo; non-smiling, without glasses or head covering (unless for religious or ethnic reasons).
• The photo should not have been previously used in a visa.

Travel Details

Flight Tickets

• Provide a copy of confirmed arrival and departure tickets.

Hotel Reservation

• Provide a copy of a confirmed hotel reservation, showing hotel address, contact number, applicant’s name, and dates of stay for each day of travel.

Financial Details

Bank Statement

• Requires physical submission.
• Applicant must present their own bank statement or the sponsor’s statement if sponsored by a spouse or blood relative.
• The bank statement should cover the last 6 months with the bank’s sign and seal.

Income Tax Return (ITR)

• If the applicant is a Partner, LLP, or Director, provide business ITR for the last 3 years.
• Employed applicants should submit either a 3-year ITR or Form 16.
• Self-employed applicants should submit a personal ITR for the last 3 years.

Occupation Details

Employed Applicants

• Submit the following documents from the company on letterhead, including the applicant’s name, designation, and signature of an authorized signatory:
  • Leave Sanction letter or No Objection Certificate (NOC).
  • Payslips for the last 3 months.
  • Company Appointment Letter (if the applicant has recently joined the company).

Self-employed Applicants

• Cover letter on business letterhead.
• Business registration certificate, such as GST Certificate, Certificate of Incorporation, Partnership Deed, MOA, etc.
• Valid proprietorship proof if applicable.

Student Applicants

• Any one of the following from the educational institution:
  • Bonafide Certificate.
  • Leave letter from the educational institution.
  • Student ID card copy.

Retired Applicants

• Provide Retirement Proof or Pension slip for the last 3 months.

Additional Requirements

Mandatory Details

• Applicants must visit the visa application center in person for biometric data.
• Biometric visit is waived if the applicant has a Schengen visa issued within the past 3 years.
• All documents must be in English or officially translated.
• Embassy or Consulate may request additional documents or an interview.
• Applications submitted within 15 working days of travel date will not be accepted.

Travel Insurance

• Mandatory travel insurance with minimum coverage of €30,000 or $50,000 is required for medical emergencies, treatment, hospitalization, or repatriation.
• Insurance must cover all Schengen countries and be valid for the entire stay.
• Inadequate insurance coverage may result in a shorter visa validity.
• Carry valid Schengen travel insurance, with proof ready for border authorities.

Cover Letter

• State the applicant’s purpose of visit and personal details, addressed to the relevant consulate or embassy per jurisdiction, if applicable.

Travel Agency Certificate

• Duly signed and stamped by an authorized agency representative, or if traveling independently, provide proof of accommodation reservations, with a deposit paid or cancellation fee policy.

Conditional Requirements

Minors Traveling with One Parent

• Provide written consent from the other parent or guardian, with a signed copy of their passport or photo ID.
• If one parent has sole custody or guardianship, submit proof.
• NOC from the parent on stamped paper if applicable.
• All minors must be accompanied by both parents or legal guardians to sign the application form before a VFS officer, except if visiting a parent residing in Denmark.

Minors Traveling Alone

• Written consent from both parents or legal guardians.
• Signed copies of the passports or photo IDs of both parents or legal guardians.
• NOC from parents if applicable.
• All minors must be accompanied by both parents or legal guardians to sign the application form before a VFS officer, except if visiting a parent residing in Denmark.

Staying with Friends and Family

• Original invitation letter (town hall letter) in Danish, signed by the inviting person or family and endorsed by the Denmark Office of Immigration and Nationality or certified by a public notary.
• Passport and visa or residence permit of the invitor, along with address proof.

Sponsor Documents

• Sponsorship letter from the sponsor with details of the applicant’s trip.
• Sponsor’s employment proof.
• Sponsor’s bank statement.
• Government ID proof (passport, driver’s license, PAN card) if the sponsor is from India, or a passport/driver’s license copy if the sponsor is from Denmark.

Internal Travel

• If traveling within the Schengen area, provide internal travel arrangements.

Marriage Certificate
