Spain Sticker Visa Requirements

Traveller Details

Passport

• Physical passport required, valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure from Spain.
• Handwritten passports and passports with validity over 10 years are not accepted.

Photograph

• Physical photograph required, dimensions 35mm x 45mm on matte finish paper with a white background.
• The face should cover 80% of the photo, non-smiling, without glasses or head covering (unless for religious or ethnic reasons).
• The photograph should not be previously used in a visa application.

PAN Card

• Copy of PAN Card is mandatory for applicants above the age of 18.

Travel Details

Flight Tickets

• A copy of confirmed arrival and departure tickets is required.

Hotel Reservation

• Copy of confirmed hotel reservation must include hotel address, contact number, applicant’s name, and reservation dates for the entire stay.

Financial Details

Bank Statement

• Physical bank statement required, covering the last 6 months with bank’s sign and seal.
• Applicants can submit either their own bank statement or, if sponsored by a blood relative or spouse, the sponsor’s bank statement.

Income Tax Returns (ITR)

• For self-employed applicants: Business ITR for the last 3 years.
• For employed applicants: 3-year ITR, Form 16, or personal ITR (for self-employed individuals).

Occupational Details

Employed

• Provide one of the following on company letterhead, including the applicant’s name, designation, and authorized signatory’s signature:
  • Leave sanction letter
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC)
  • Payslips for the last 3 months
  • Company appointment letter (for recent employees)

Self-employed

• Cover letter on business letterhead.
• Valid proof of business registration, such as a GST certificate, Certificate of Incorporation, Partnership deed, or Memorandum of Association (MOA).
• Proprietorship proof if applicable.

Student

• Provide one of the following from the educational institution:
  • Bonafide certificate
  • Leave letter
  • Student ID card copy

Retired

• Submit proof of retirement or pension slips for the last 3 months.

Additional Requirements

Mandatory Details

• Applicants must visit the visa application center in person for biometric data.
• If the applicant has a Schengen visa issued within the last 3 years, biometric submission may not be required.
• All documents should be in English or include an official translation.
• The embassy or consulate may request additional documents or an interview.
• Applications submitted within 15 working days of travel will not be accepted.

Travel Insurance

• Must have travel insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 or $50,000 for health emergencies, hospitalization, or repatriation.
• The insurance should cover all Schengen countries and be valid for the entire stay.
• Lack of sufficient insurance may lead to a shorter visa validity.
• Applicants should carry valid Schengen travel insurance to show proof at border crossings.

Rental Agreement

• Required if the passport was issued in a different jurisdiction than the visa application center.

Cover Letter

• Stating the purpose of the visit and personal details, addressed to the consulate or embassy as per jurisdiction, if necessary.

Travel Agency Certificate

• Must be duly signed and stamped by an authorized person of the agency or, in case of individual visits, accommodation reservation proof with deposit or cancellation fee details.

Conditional Requirements

Minor Traveling with One Parent

• Provide written consent from the non-traveling parent or guardian.
• Include a signed copy of the other parent or guardian’s passport or photo ID.
• Proof of sole custody or guardianship, if applicable.
• All minors must be accompanied by both parents or legal guardians, who should sign the application form in front of a VFS officer, except when the child is visiting the other parent residing in Spain.

Minor Traveling Alone

• Obtain written consent from both parents or guardians.
• Provide signed copies of the passports or photo IDs of the parents or guardians.
• NOC from parents, if applicable.
• All minors must be accompanied by both parents or guardians, signing the form in front of a VFS officer, unless visiting a parent in Spain.

Staying with Friends or Family

• Original invitation letter (town hall letter) in Spanish, signed by the inviter and endorsed by the Spanish Office of Immigration and Nationality or certified by a public notary.
• Provide a copy of the inviter’s ID/passport and proof of residence.
• Inviting person’s permanent address and contact number are required.

Sponsor Documents

• Sponsorship letter detailing applicant’s travel particulars.
• Sponsor’s employment proof and bank statement.
• Copy of sponsor’s government ID (Passport, Driving License, PAN) if the sponsor is from India; if from Spain, a passport or driving license copy.

Internal Travel

• Proof of internal travel arrangements if the applicant is traveling within the Schengen area.

Marriage Certificate

• Notarized marriage certificate is required if the spouse’s name is not mentioned on the back of the applicant’s passport.
