Belgium Sticker Visa Requirements

1. Traveler Details

• Passport
  • Physical passport required, valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure from Belgium.
  • Handwritten passports or those valid for over 10 years are not accepted.
  • All previous passports must be disclosed.
• Photograph
  • Physical photo required, dimensions: 35mm x 45mm on matte finish paper with a white background.
  • Face should cover 80%, be non-smiling, without glasses or head coverings (unless for religious reasons), and must not be previously used in a visa application.

2. Travel Details

• Flight Tickets
  • Confirmed arrival and departure tickets required.
  • Itinerary with internal bus and train tickets must also be provided.
• Hotel Reservation
  • Confirmed hotel reservation with the hotel address, contact number, applicant’s name, and dates of reservation for all travel days.

3. Financial Details

• Bank Statement
  • Physical statement required for the last 3 months with the bank’s sign and seal.
  • Applicant must provide their own statement or that of a sponsoring blood relative or spouse if applicable.
• Income Tax Return (ITR)
  • For business applicants: 3-year business ITR required.
  • For employed individuals: Last 3-year personal ITR or Form 16.
  • Self-employed individuals should submit a 3-year personal ITR.

4. Occupation Details

• Self-employed
  • Cover letter on business letterhead.
  • Business registration documents: GST certificate, certificate of incorporation, partnership deed, MOA, or valid proprietorship proof.
• Employed
  • No Objection Certificate or Leave Sanction Letter on company letterhead with original stamp.
  • Payslips for the last 3 months.
  • Appointment letter if the applicant has recently joined the company.
• Student
  • One of the following documents: bonafide certificate, leave letter from the institution, or student ID card copy.
• Retired
  • Retirement proof or pension slips for the last 3 months.

5. Additional Requirements

• Mandatory Details
  • Bio metric data submission at a visa application center is required, except if the applicant has a Schengen visa issued in the past 3 years.
  • All documents must be in English or accompanied by an official translation.
  • Applications submitted within 15 working days of travel will not be accepted.
• Travel Insurance
  • Mandatory travel insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000 or USD 50,000 for health emergencies, hospitalization, or repatriation.
  • Insurance must cover all Schengen countries for the entire stay.
  • Proof of insurance may be required at the border.
• Cover Letter
  • State the purpose of visit and personal details, addressed to the relevant consulate or embassy.
• Rent Agreement
  • Required if the applicant’s passport was issued outside the jurisdiction of the visa application location.
• Travel Agency Certificate
  • Must be signed and stamped by the authorized person of the travel agency or, for individual trips, a confirmed reservation.

6. Conditional Requirements

• Minors Travelling with One Parent
  • Provide written consent from the other parent or guardian, with a signed copy of their passport.
  • If a parent has sole custody, proof is required.
  • Notarized No Objection Certificate (NOC) on INR 100 stamp paper and the parent’s passport copy.
• Minors Traveling Alone
  • Written consent from both parents or legal guardians, with signed copies of their passports.
  • NOC from parents if applicable.
  • Minors must be accompanied by both parents for signing in front of a VFS officer unless visiting a parent in Belgium.
• Staying with Friends and Family
  • Invitation letter (townhall letter) in the Belgian language, signed by the inviter and issued or notarized by the Belgian Office of Immigration.
  • Inviter’s passport, visa, or residence permit along with address proof.
• Internal Travel within Schengen Area
  • Proof of internal commute if the applicant is traveling within Schengen countries.
• Marriage Certificate
  • Required if the spouse’s name is not listed in the applicant’s passport.

• Sponsor Documents
  • Sponsorship letter from the sponsor, including the applicant’s details and trip particulars.
  • Sponsor’s employment proof and recent bank statements.
  • Government ID proof of the sponsor:
    • If the sponsor is from India: Passport, Driving License, or PAN card.
    • If the sponsor is from Austria: Passport or Driving License copy.
