Czech Republic Sticker Visa Application Guide
Traveller Details
Passport
- Requires physical copy
- Passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of departure from the Czech Republic.
- Handwritten passports and passports valid for more than 10 years are not accepted.
Photograph
- Requires physical copy
- Dimensions: 35mm x 45mm on matte finish paper with a white background.
- Face should cover 80% of the photo, with a neutral expression (non-smiling), no glasses or head coverings (unless for religious or ethnic reasons), and must not have been used for a visa previously.
Travel Details
Flight Tickets
- Provide a copy of confirmed arrival and departure tickets.
Hotel Reservation
- Submit a copy of confirmed hotel reservations, showing the hotel address, contact number, applicant’s name, and dates of reservation for each day of travel.
Financial Details
Bank Statement
- Requires physical copy
- Provide either the applicant’s own bank statement or the sponsor’s (if sponsored by a blood relative or spouse).
- Must cover the last six months, with the bank’s official sign and seal.
Income Tax Return (ITR)
- For business owners (partners, LLP, or directors), submit the business ITR for the last three years.
- For employed individuals, submit a 3-year ITR or Form 16. Self-employed individuals should submit a 3-year personal ITR.
Occupation Details
Employed
- Provide a Leave Sanction letter or No Objection Certificate (NOC) on company letterhead, including the applicant’s name, designation, and the authorized signatory’s signature.
- Last three months’ payslips.
- Company appointment letter (required if the applicant recently switched jobs).
Self-employed
- Cover letter on business letterhead.
- Business registration certificate (GST certificate, Certificate of Incorporation, Partnership deed, MOA, etc.).
- Valid proprietorship proof.
Student
- Provide one of the following from the educational institution, containing the applicant’s name: Bonafide certificate, leave letter, or student ID copy.
Retired
- Provide retirement proof or pension slips for the last three months.
Additional Requirements
Mandatory Details
- Applicants must visit the visa application center in person for biometric data.
- A biometric visit is not required if the applicant has a Schengen visa issued in the last three years.
- All documents must be in English or officially translated.
- The Embassy or Consulate may request additional documents or a personal interview case-by-case.
- Applications submitted within 15 working days of travel will not be accepted.
Travel Insurance
- Travel insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 (or $50,000) for emergencies, treatment, hospitalization, or repatriation is required.
- Insurance must cover all Schengen countries and be valid for the entire stay.
- Inadequate insurance may result in a shorter visa validity.
- Carry valid Schengen travel insurance as border authorities may ask for proof.
Cover Letter
- A cover letter stating the purpose of the visit and applicant details, addressed to the appropriate consulate or embassy.
Travel Agency Certificate
- A signed and stamped certificate from the travel agency. If the applicant is visiting independently, provide proof of accommodation reservation with deposit or cancellation fee details.
Conditional Requirements
Minor Traveling with One Parent
- Provide written consent from the other parent or guardian, with a signed copy of their passport or photo ID.
- If one parent has sole custody, provide proof.
- A No Objection Certificate (NOC) on a stamp paper worth ₹100 with the passport copy of the consenting parent.
- Minors must be accompanied by both parents or legal guardians to sign the application form in the presence of a VFS officer, except when visiting the other parent in the Czech Republic.
Minor Traveling Alone
- Obtain written consent from both parents or legal guardians, with signed copies of their passports or IDs.
- NOC from parents if applicable.

Staying with Friends and Family
- Original invitation letter in Czech, signed by the inviting person or family, and endorsed by the Czech Republic Office of Immigration or a public notary.

Sponsor Documents
- Sponsorship letter from the sponsor with trip details and applicant particulars.
- Sponsor’s employment proof, recent bank statement, and government ID proof (passport, driver’s license, or PAN card for Indian sponsors).
- For Czech sponsors, submit a passport or driver’s license copy.
Internal Travel
- Submit proof of any internal travel within the Schengen area.
Marriage Certificate
- If the spouse’s name is not on the applicant’s passport, a marriage certificate is required.
